climate

The climate ranges from Mediterranean on the coast to continental in the higher elevations. The mercury can rise to 35ºC in the summer, and drop to -5ºC in the winter, but what is so striking in Valencia is that it can freeze even during the summer nights. A temperature fluctuation of 30ºC in 24 hours is not uncommon.

soil

Brown or reddish brown limestone soil, with petrified or sandy substrate.

vinification

100% Garnacha from grapes with north-facing vineyards. Classic method with fermentation in the bottle for 12 months at 12°C.
