- climate
-
Located quite southerly between ideal latitudes, Maule Valley is slightly cooler than other major wine regions in Chile. It enjoys slightly more precipitation that falls mainly in winter and many hours of sunshine. It is warm during the day and the temperature drops sharply at night, making it probably the most privileged wine valley in Chile. The general characteristics are comparable to a Mediterranean climate.
- soil
-
The vineyards are located in Maule Valley near Curicó. The Maule River supplies the valley with alluvial sedimentary rocks. The soils are quite varied and consist of granite, red clay, loam and gravel. The soils on the slopes are poorer and with good water management. In the valley itself on the river, the subsoil is richer with higher yields.
- vinification
-
60% Cabernet Sauvignon et 40% Cabernet Franc. Les raisins sont cueillis dans la fraîcheur du matin. Après un pressurage soigneux et une macération sur les granulés, la fermentation est lancée.
