This wine has a vibrant ruby colour and a youthful expression of red berries and luscious cherries, with the attractive sweet notes of chocolate and cinnamon spice. Smooth integrated tannins polish the palate, whilst the dry finish captures the lingering notes of these vibrant fruits.
The duration of the harvest is approximately 12 weeks with an average production of 8 tons per acres.

The soils of Stellenbosch range from dark alluvium to clay.

Two days of cold soak followed by yeast inoculation. A combination of automated and aerated pump overs is used for optimum colour and fruit extraction. Fermentation temperature peaked at 28°C. Gentle pressing followed where tasting of the wine played the key role in determining the best fraction. Malolactic fermentation occured in tank. Wood maturation 20 months in 70% French Oak and 30% American Oak.
