Deep, ruby red color. Pronounced nose of cherries and other red and black fruits. The typical intense fruity character of Barbera is accompanied here by soft spicy notes of wood and a hint of vanilla. Don't expect heavy tannins here. The acidity softens with aging. Wonderfully tasteful and nice final. Possibly slightly cooled on summer days.
Delicious with fine game or poultry, but also with veal, lamb fillet and stews with chicken.

Picked at the end of September, beginning of October. After careful pressing, the skins are macerated for 10-12 days and the fermentation is started. The wine matures further in large wooden barrels for 20 months and is then bottled and released.
