Joan Simó - (Spain)
This small, family owned cellar lays in the heart of the Priorat region. In 1999, Gerard Batllevell Simó decided to move back to Porrera, a village of just 500 inhabitants with a centuries-old tradition of winegrowing and making. Gerard had about 15,000 vines planted there, on his property 'La Garranxa', located on a hilltop with an altitude of 700 meters
2021 Joan Simó Viatge Priorat
0.75 l Tinto
Priorat Spain
Viatge al Priorat is a great introduction to Priorat, or for those looking for a more youthful expression of the region (read: not-so-brooding). While the fruit is deep and dark, minerality from the slates, lively acidity and delicate tannin give the wine a taut structure and lift.

Priorat Spain
Sexy black and blue fruit aromas are complicated by smoky mineral and cola qualities. Fleshy cassis and blueberry flavors are sharpened and lifted by juicy acidity. Gains sweetness and depth with air, finishing with a suave note of black raspberry and silky, polished tannins.
